Review of Zanda EHR

Today is a review of the EHR Zanda (formerly Power Diary). I had never heard of it before but some Facebook ads popped up so I figured I would jump in with a review. Overall, I’m impressed. It seems solid and has all the bells and whistles an EHR needs at an affordable price. They do seem to be newer, their product updates only go back a little over a year, but that doesn’t neccessarily mean anything bad.

Zanda HealthPricing:

Zanda offers promo pricing of 50% off for the first six months and then $49/month with each additional clicnian being $19/month. They have an even cheaper plan if you are just getting started.

SMS, telehealth, and AI add-ons:

Some features appear to be optional paid add-ons, including SMS and telehealth. There is also an AI add-on for transcription and note drafting if that is something you want.

Scheduling and calendar tools:

The calendar felt clean and easy to navigate, with options for different appointment types and views. It also seems to support practical scheduling needs like privacy mode, reminders, conflict alerts, and Google Calendar sync.

Waitlist management:

The built-in waitlist is more structured than a simple list, with tagging and assignment options. It also appears to support messaging clients when openings pop up.

Billing and client records:

Billing looked fairly standard in a good way, with invoices, payments, and superbills. It also includes a client portal and session packs, which could be useful if you run groups.

Templates, forms, and a practice manual template:

There are templates and a forms library (although this was minimal), plus options like bulk messaging for quick announcements. The surprising standout was a built-in practice manual template, which could save time as a starting framework.

Watch my full review on YouTube:

Zanda seems worth a look if you want a clean scheduler, you plan to add clinicians, or you prefer more included features instead of many separate paid add-ons. It may also appeal if you are curious about AI-assisted transcription and note drafting.
If you are wanting an EHR that has all the forms already included, you might want to look elsewhere.

Have you heard of Zanda before, or tried it back when it was Power Diary?
